The Venue with a Heart: Our Ethos

When you hold your event at the Temple of Peace, all the profits go to the charity that runs the venue, the Welsh Centre for International Affairs (the WCIA). The WCIA's vision is that everyone in Wales contributes to creating a fairer and more peaceful world. We do this by inspiring learning and action on global issues through delivering high quality global education, promoting peace and human rights and supporting international development from Wales.

Our core values, of protecting human rights, promoting peace and sustainability and supporting everyone in Wales to play their role as global citizens, are reflected in how we run the venue. We carefully source our suppliers, looking for those who take their responsibilities to the environment seriously and who make a positive contribution to the communities around them. We work with caterers who use fairly traded or locally sourced produce and who pay their staff the living wage.
