An iconic building in the heart of Cardiff

The Temple of Peace has been used as a filming location for several TV shows and films. Many BBC shows such as Dr Who, Sherlock and His Dark Materials have been filmed at the Temple, making use of both the Mable Hall and the Council Chamber.

The building is a versatile space that can be adapted to suit the needs of a variety of different looks so you can get the shots you’re looking for.

  • Grand marble hall with statement pillars made of black Italian marble, veined with gold and coffered ceiling painted green and gold
  • Wood panelled council chamber
  •  Small vaulted chapel in crypt to the lower level
