The High Sheriff of South Wales Inauguration - Isabel Graham
The Temple of Peace are very proud to have hosted the Inauguration of Isabel Graham as the High Sheriff of South Glamorgan. The evening was an elegant soiree with a drinks reception in the foyer followed by the declaration ceremony and ending with live music from a harpist, flute player and pianist.
“I was absolutely delighted with every aspect of my declaration service as High Sheriff of South Glamorgan 2019/20 held at the Temple of Peace & Health in April 2019.
I had chosen it as my venue for several reasons. I have past links with South Glamorgan Health Authority once housed here and I had been to events at the Temple before. I like the charitable work that is done from here and the location and parking is central and of course the building and the marble hall itself is really wonderful.
But an event is not made by the location alone - it was the staff at the Temple that made the evening so special. From the initial meeting everyone was so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I’d never arranged such an event with trumpeters, musicians and various dignitaries needing different rooms to prepare in and Ian and Emily arranged it all. They were just amazing.
The catering by Town and Country led by Steve Banks and Les was also excellent - delicious canapés served by friendly and efficient staff.
We have had many compliments from our guests about the evening - it was clearly enjoyed by everyone. I would not hesitate to recommend the Temple of Peace most highly to anyone hosting a special event.
